SMS-based audience response service
questionSMS is an opt-in service that enables you to receive questions and feedback during your lectures and seminars on a web browser, without interrupting the flow of your lecture or presentation.
If you enable this service, students can send an SMS to ask you a question or send feedback during lecture. You can also create simple polls using questionSMS.
You can create a code for each question. Students will respond by sending an SMS to 77577 in the following format: SMScode message.
These SMSes will be collated at the questionSMS website, where you can see the results live or store them for viewing later.
There is no cost involved in using this service. However, students will be charged by their respective telcos for each SMS sent at the normal local rate.

The Classroom Clickers (or Classroom Response System), powered by TurningPoint, is designed to promote interactivity and participation in a lecture or conference setting.
This system consists of a radio frequency receiver connected to a computer via USB, a set of response units (one is pictured on the top right) and the TurningPoint software which enables the interactive responses.
Questions can be prepared beforehand or on the spot. You can use the Classroom Clickers in conjunction with PowerPoint and/or a wireless writing tablet. Results are displayed on screen instantly so that you can gauge the level of understanding. You can also set up quizzes to spice up lessons.
The video belows shows the use of the Classroom Clickers during a lecture.
IMPORTANT! Please uninstall any previous versions of the TurningPoint software on your computer before upgrading.
