Initiatives
The iCreate Mobility Challenge is a competition for NUS students to develop working ideas to enhance student's education experience and campus life on the following mobile platforms - Android, iPhone/iPad, Mobile Web and Windows Phone 7. These ideas may include eLearning, student/library services or geo-location related apps - anything related to enriching the students' experience at NUS.
NUS Teaching Staff iPad Loan Scheme
This scheme aims to get iPads into the hands of educators on campus. CIT wants the NUS teaching community to experiment with the use of the iPad in teaching and wants to encourage new, interesting and mobile uses of technology for teaching.
Chosen teaching staff will receive an iPad, several peripherals and applications as well as a data plan for one semester. The participants will report on their use of the iPad in teaching, and these results will be shared with the wider teaching community. Their collective experience may become the basis of best practices for mobile teaching.
