iTutorials - Intelligent Web-Based Tutorials
Internet based tutorials system to help sutdents build confidence in final examinations

iTutorials - an advanced web-based tutorial system was launched by the Centre for IT & Applications (CITA Engineering) to employ the latest Internet technologies in enhancing teaching and learning.

Currently, the Engineering modules, EG1104 Statics (taught by Assoc Prof Ang Kok Keng and Assoc Prof Wang Chien Ming) and EE3405 Technology & Modeling of Silicon Transistors (taught by Assoc Prof Tan Leng Seow) have successfully adopted this new educational method.

Presently, four ‘types’ of problems may be set in the iTutorials system, with more being developed by the team of CITA Engineering programmers. They are:

1. Single-answer type, which allows students to key in their final numerical answers.
2. Multiple-answer type, which allows students to key in all intermediate answers in sequence.
3. Graphical/sketch related answer type, which allows students to draw or sketch diagrams associated with numerical values to be worked out.
4. Drag-and-drop type, which allows students to drag and drop icons to specific section of images predefined by lecturers.

Note: iTutorials is pioneered by Assoc Prof Ang Kok Keng and Assoc Prof Wang Chien Ming.
