CIT Acquires DVD Authoring Station [OCT 02]
CIT has acquired its first DVD Authoring Satation. DVD will broaden the capability for coruseware development in providing academic staff with a rich video format for content creation and strorage.
 
PDA Ready Websites [OCT 02]
The EDtech and NUSCast websites are now accessible from PDAs.
 
NUS Digital Media Gallery [OCT 02]
The Digital Media Gallery (DMG), a collaboration between NUS Libraries & CIT, aims to provide the campus community a central repository for digital resources to facilitate resource sharing; and to provide storage space fo the preservation of works.
 
Copyrights & Courseware Ownership Website [JUL 02]
The Industry and Technology Relations Office (INTRO) and CIT have developed a website on Copyrights and Courseware Ownership Rights (intranet access only). This is the first step towards a more comprehensive policies on copyright and courseware ownership issues.
 
Internet Plagiarism Detection Service [JUL 02]
CIT is collaborating with TurnItIn to develop web scanning techniques that will enable lecturers detect Internet plagiarism.
 
CIT Wins Videographers Award 2002 [JUL 02]
"NUS: Settling In", produced by Susanna Goh, CIT, has won The Videographer Awards 2002 - Award of Excellence. "NUS: Settling In" was commissioned by NUS Office of Student Affairs (OSA) to introduce NUS to international students.
 
CIT Festive Participations [JUL 02]
ITSC Plugfest 2002 - IVLE, NUS e-learning management platform, was awarded the Information Technology Standards Committee (ITSC) Plugfest 2002 Award July 2002.

iTopia 2002 - CIT showcased its IVLE and distance learning/collaboration/webcasting facilities at the iTopia 2002, organised by the Ministry of Education.
 
CIT MDL New Website [APR 02]
At the CIT Multimedia Development Lab (MDL) new website, staff and students will be able to look-up on all software & hardware and other information on CIT MDL as well a their own Faculty MDL.
 
E-Control Auditorium [APR 02]
The e-control system at CIT Auditorium enable technical officers to monitor and control functions from the Web. The system also allows adminstrative staff to activate certain equipments immediately upon request, e.g. the opening of the Auditorium doors.
 
NUSCast Adds Four New Channels [FEB 02]
Four new channels have been added to NUSCast - Animal Planet, Bloomberg, National Geographic Channel & Research Channel.
 
Virtual Tutorials Trials [FEB 02]
CIT is providing training sessions to lecturers interested in conducting virtual tutorial sessions. Virtual tutorials allow lecturers to interact with students who cannot be physically present on campus.
 
Tool Downloads For Courseware Development [FEB 02]
NUS staff can download tools for interactive courseware development at Computer Cetnre Web Shopping - Courseware IT Tools (intranet access only). Software available includes Adobe Reader, HTMLed Pro 3.0 and Photoshop.
 
CIT Implements Online Booking System [NOV 01]
NUS staff can book CIT's SMART Classroom and Auditorium through the Internet. Bookings include for videoconferencing, CIT facilities and Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA).Upon receiving users' requrest, manpower will be assigned and the technical officers are notified of new projects electronically.
 
MDL Relocates [NOV 01]
CIT's MDL has moved to House Number 11, Kent Ridge Road.
 
MDL Implements Cashless Payment [NOV 01]
Staff and students can pay by CashCard at CIT MDL. Please ensure your matriculation card has enough value for your printing assignments.
 
Desktop Video Conferencing Project [NOV 01]
The Desktop Video Coferencing Project (DVC) allows NUS staff to conduct video conferencing sessions at their desktop with WebCams (load from CIT). DVC facilitates communication and collaboration with colleague in reatime overseas, supported by adequate Internet bandwidth.
 
CIT Implements Workflow System [JUL 01]
CIT implements workflow system that allows managers to directly accept, reject of defer service requests. The system enables managers and his team to keep track of all activities and project, and minimise paperwork.
 
E-Publishing Bureau [JUL 01]
CIT E-Publishing Bureau (intranet access only) service allows lecturers to covert text-based materials to Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and create webpages.
 
 
CIT[at]Work [MAR 01]
CIT Work Improvement Team (WIT) System, dubbed CIT[at]Work is formed to encourage sharing and contributing ideas to improve the quality of CIT's services.
