SELF - Student Electronic Learing Portfolio Project

A digital collection of selected coursework, achivements in areas such as co-curricular activities and students' reflective commentary on their learning.

The NUS e-portfolio project, SELF, is designed and developed by Centre for Instructional Technology and WizLearn Pte Ltd.

When completed, the system captures information on:

  • courses
  • awards
  • co-curricular activities
  • personal information
  • industrial experiences
  • exchange programs
  • national service
  • special projects
  • full and part-time employment history
  • community service

Designated supervisors and course instructors have access to these information and if they choose to, can write comments about these achievements and work samples.

Primary benefit

An interesting section in SELF is the "Learning Path", where students plan for the courses they want to take and make plans for their careers. Students are able to see a consolidation of lecturers' comments and learning outcomes.
