Basic Modular Multimedia Course 2001

CIT Multimedia Group recently organised a basic modular multimedia course for technical staff.

The objective of the course is to help participants develop basic skills and techniques needed for routine multimedia jobs—single camera production, two-camera production, non-linear video editing, basic CCTV, video lighting, and digitisation of video, audio and data. More importantly, the course aimed to dispel any fears in handling multimedia jobs.

The participants were also provided with a comprehensive Training Manual and access to the facilities and expertise of CIT for the duration of the course.

They were required to complete several exercises to pass the course. The passing requirements are that participants must complete all five modules, pass their respective tests, serve on-the-job requirements where indicated, and finish a course project by the deadline indicated. The award of certificates to successful participants will be on the 10 September 2001.

CIT hopes this exercise will help build up a learning dialogue with participants. Its facilities and expertise is expected to be accessible to successful participants even after the course is over.
