  Program Rationale

The Program structure for APRU Distance Learning and the Internet Conference 2003 has been devised to promote the key objective of the APRU community: to help the member institutions become more effective contributors to the development of an increasingly integrated Pacific Rim community.

To facilitate this objective, the theme of the Conference:
"Global Knowledge Enterprise – Learning Without Walls"
, has been divided into three broad sub-themes that will be discussed in terms of their relevance for the development of partnerships between member institutions.

The three sub-themes are:

• Distance Learning and Economic Development
• Infrastructure and Technology Trends in Distance Learning
• Learning Strategies for Distance Programs

Please note that the schedule is subject to change. It is correct as of 3 November 2003.
